Beginning the creative process with hand made collages using personal photos and mixed media illustrations, using layered imagery to portray a narrative.
I started to animate my collages in order to enhance the idea of a narrative, using a stop motion technique. I wanted my animation to reflect my epileptic condition, hence why the animation is very unsteady and shaky.
For the exhibition, the animation was projected onto a board complied of old photos. Linking to the animation and my experience with epilepsy though using stories written by my parents, each recording a seizure I have had in the past as a child.
